Currently, the tab caption is fixed to the folder name at the time of tab creation.
I suggest a dynamic tab caption function like XYplorer.
When moving a folder, the tab caption automatically changes to the working directory.
For example, When working directory is C:\windows\system32
Option 1. Full path
- Tab caption is "C:\windows\system32"
- If the full path is long, it is automatically reduced. ex) Tab caption is C:\win...\system32
Option 2. Folder only
- Tab caption is "system32"
But if the user modified the tab caption, the tab caption is fixed.

Re: Dynamic tab caption
Thanks for the details, we'll work on improving tabs captions.
Meanwhile to make tab headers change in folder change you can try in Settings:
Popular > Tabs of folders > Keep active unpinned tab when going to another folder.
To see more of the folder path in tabs drag down the delimiter underneath the tabs line. Tabs will switch to double-line mode and show the folder path and name.

There was already a similar function.
